Player tracking

Someone raided a base last night? Rewind your map.

The Tracker replays your game server's map. See where every player was, who was inside an area and what they took, then decide with the record in front of you, not the loudest story in the ticket.

Included on every plan, the free one too.

The Tracker in one minute

Rewind

Pick a moment. See where everyone was.

Switch the Map from Live to Tracker, choose a time range and drag the timeline. Every player shows where they stood at that moment, with a trail of where they went.

  • Play it back at the speed you pick and watch the night unfold.
  • Share the exact view: the time, the moment and the player are kept in the page address.
  • Live mode too: the Recent trails layer shows which way players are heading.

Area search

Draw around the base. Get the names.

Draw a circle, rectangle or any shape on the map. Takaro lists every player seen inside it during the range, with when they first and last were there.

  • Set a height range to search one floor of a building or a cave.
  • Export the list as CSV for your staff or the ticket.
  • Positions are samples, so check a player's trail before you ban.

Theft

See what they picked up in there

With an area drawn, open the Theft tab. It lists every item a player gained while inside: who, when, what and how many, and the container it came from when the game reports it.

Strong evidence, not proof. The game doesn't always say where an item came from. Check the player, the moment and their inventory before you act.

Follow the loot

Where did that rifle come from?

Follow items and players through the night, not just positions.

  • Inventory at any moment

Select a player and see what they carried at that moment, with every gain and loss in the range. Export the changes as CSV.

  • Item search

Search an item by name and see who held it and for how long. Each gain and loss is marked on the timeline.

  • Kills, deaths and connects

Deaths, kills, connects and disconnects sit on the timeline and the map. Choose one to jump to that moment.

Your game, your map

The same Tracker on every map you run

Survival, sandbox or roleplay: the Tracker works on every game whose connector reports positions, on that game's own map.

Setup

From a raid ticket to names in three steps

  1. 01

    Connect your server

Install the connector for your game and add the server in Takaro. From then on, Takaro records where players are and what they carry.

  2. 02

    Open the Map

Choose Servers, then your server, then Map. Live shows who is online now, on the game's own map.

  3. 03

    Switch to Tracker

Choose Tracker, pick a time range and drag the timeline. Draw an area or search an item to narrow it down.

You decide who sees it. The Tracker needs the Read Tracking permission. Take it off a role and that role can't open the Tracker.

FAQ

Player tracking questions

Something else on your mind? Ask in our Discord or read the docs.

Which games does the Tracker work with?

Every game whose connector reports player positions. Each game page says what its connector reports, and the Map and Tracker guide explains where the map image comes from.

How far back can I look?

As far back as your plan keeps event history. Position and inventory history is deleted on the same schedule. One search covers up to 31 days. See pricing.

Does the Theft tab prove who stole something?

No. It lists items players gained while they were inside the area you drew. That is strong evidence, not proof: the game does not always say where an item came from. Check the player's trail, the moment and their inventory before you act.

Who on my team can see it?

Anyone with the Read Tracking permission. Remove it from a role to hide the Tracker for that role; Read Map controls the map itself. See roles and permissions.

Do players need to install anything?

No. Positions and inventories come from your game server through the connector. Players install nothing.

Is player tracking a paid feature?

No. Every plan has every feature, the free one too. Plans differ in servers, team members and how long history is kept. See pricing.

Next raid ticket? Rewind the map.

Free for your first server, the Tracker included. Connect it and Takaro starts recording tonight.
