Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Takaro ("the Service"), a game server management platform. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

The Service

Takaro provides web-based tools for managing game servers, including server monitoring, player management, module installation, Discord integration, and API access. The Service connects to game servers you own or have authorization to manage. See our features page for details on what is included.

Your Account

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Keep your login secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password and contact us.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Only connect game servers you own or have explicit permission to manage
• Not use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm other players or communities
• Not attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or servers
• Not reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service
• Not use the API in ways that degrade service for other users
• Comply with the game publisher's terms of service for each game you manage

Plans and Billing

The free tier is available without payment. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the dashboard.

When you cancel, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us on Discord if you need help with billing.

Data and Privacy

How we handle your data is covered in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to the data practices described there.

You retain ownership of your game server data. We do not claim rights to your player data, configurations, or custom modules.

Custom Modules and API

You can create custom modules that run on Takaro's infrastructure. You are responsible for the code you deploy. Custom modules must not violate these terms, compromise security, or consume excessive resources.

We reserve the right to disable custom modules that cause issues.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows, updates, and unexpected outages may occur. We will communicate planned maintenance when possible.

Takaro is not responsible for issues caused by your game server host, game publisher updates, or network connectivity.

Liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost data, lost revenue, or issues arising from game server management decisions made using the Service.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible.

Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be communicated through the dashboard or email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
